From the Founders

Real Estate Education And Community Housing Incorporation (R.E.A.C.H.) was born out of the realization that many in our community could become homeowners with a small amount of expert guidance. At the time the need was realized, Founders, John (Jack) and Patricia Tracey, were unaware of the Housing Counseling Industry nor HUD approvals. The only reality was need.

Therefore, the Tracey’s conceived a dream of a nonprofit help agency over the Christmas holidays of 2005, and opened the corporation in their home office/bedroom in the early days of January, 2006. This effort was funded by with their own savings and with a desire to help others realize the American Dream. They wanted others to enjoy the benefits of homeownership that they had secured.

R.E.A.C.H. has been able to assist hundreds of first time homebuyers since that date. These homebuyers often received grant assistance. All received education in their own native language of English, Spanish or Creole. From that planning date over the Christmas holidays of 2005 and expansion in the ensuing years, R.E.A.C.H. has continued to add programs as the needs become apparent. From homeownership to home retention in the economic meltdown, and the recently added, equal justice and healthy kids, R.E.A.C.H. has grown and continues to retain the vision of need. R.E.A.C.H. views every challenge as an opportunity to serve the families, individuals and community we love.

It is our pleasure to see this Organization produce strong families with a future and a hope. It is, in fact, a plan and dream fulfilled.
